I recently moved and I set up a wireless router and DSL modem and need to know how to lock the system so that neighbors can’t use my wireless network. I have one Mac hooked up to the router with an ethernet cable and this is the primary computer. There are two others, one dell desktop and one mac laptop that use the wireless signal to connect to the internet. Thanks.
Thanks for the replies, sorry I didn’t mention this before, the router is a Linksys model # WRT150N it is a Wireless-N router.

I bought a belkin wireless g router / acces point. How can I configure it to extend on my existing wireless network wirelessly. The new access point is in my office and the on with internet is upstairs. It is a linksys. I can also use my old actiontec wireless router if i cant do it with my linksys.
Answer by Colinc
You can’t use 2 routers. They conflict and are not designed as second connection points. You should have bought a wireless range extender, this is located towards the end of range of the router, and relays the wireless.

If they can be done, how can you go about marketing two, three, or four different Network Marketing and MLM businesses?
Answer by jdlr46
I never understood why people get involved with these.
For starters, you bug everyone you know like friends and family. They will probably be nice up front but will talk about what a P.I.T.A you have become.
Those on the inside of MLM will tell you different. It’s the greatest thing since sliced bread. But that’s only so they can get you working for them.
Sorry, but that’s my two cents on MLM.

Unlike competitive books that focus on a single social media platform, this book covers all three leading platforms: Facebook, OpenSocial, and Twitter. Hawker identifies the characteristics of superior, highly engaging social media applications, and shows how to use the Facebook platform, Google Friend Connect, and the Twitter API to create them.
You’ll find practical solutions and code for addressing many common social programming challenges, from site registration to search, blog commenting to creating location-based applications. Hawker concludes by walking you through building a complete, integrated social application: one that works seamlessly across all leading platforms, and draws on powerful features from each. Coverage includes
- Working with the Twitter API, including the Search API, Lists API, and Retweets API

In my Den I have a wireless router. In my office I have 5 desktop computers that do not have wireless cards, and I don’t want to put wireless cards in them. How can I connect a 8port wired switch to the wireless network? Is there a device to bridge the two?
Answer by Tracy L
If you plug the switch into the router (use one of the LAN ports) they will be connected!
You can also get a wireless bridge like the Linksys WET54G
http://www.linksys.com/servlet/Satellite?c=L_Product_C2&childpagename=US%2FLayout&pagename=Linksys%2FCommon%2FVisitorWrapper&cid=1134692497433
Connect that bridge to the switch and all machines on the switch are then connected without having to run a cable to the den. A cable is the better solution but you can use a wireless bridge if necessary.
