How to home networking computers with only a dial-in modem?

I know how wireless network work with cable and DSL. I am still keen on keeping my dial-in connection while networking all our computers (4) and printers (2) so that files and printers can be shared from different computers in the different rooms. The wireless routers and adapters seemed to serve cable/DSL connections. Any ideas how mine would work?

What is the best professional networking site?

What are some social networking sites similar to LinkedIn?

My uncle has to get a new job, and it was recommended that he join some social networking sites such as LinkedIn to gain connections and speak to others in his profession. I was asked to gather a list of these sites for him, but the only thing I can think of is LinkedIn. I know there are ones like Facebook and MySpace, but I mean more professional-geared sites. How do I start networking and meeting people with facebook?

I have a myspace and have friends on it but just got the facebook. However, how do I start adding people from my school without looking like a creep and then run into them on campus. I do want to meet new people but I dont know too many people at my school. I just don't want to add random people. Transferring to my university from JC makes it harder. I graduated h.s. in 01, before all this social networking craze and not too many people my graduting year are on them. The people I actually talk to in class or at school are not on facebook.

Networking?

General Networking Questions?

Ok, so I am good with computers in general, but my weakness is Networking by far. so……..

1) We had someone set up our network for us, I have no idea how to add a comptuer to my network when I can see my network in "view workgroup computers".

2) I want to set up a server for everyone to be able to save documents on it.

3)Is there any way to combine two networks in the same house to act as one?

4)If I am hosting a website, is a switch safer to use than a Hub?

I need to know how to do everything in the list above, PLEASE HELP ME!!!
