Describing how content delivery networks (CDN) function, it provides an understanding of Web architecture, as well as an overview of the TCP/IP protocol suite.

The book reports on the development of the technologies that have evolved over the past decade as distribution mechanisms for various types of Web content. Using a structural and visual approach, it provides step-by-step guidance through the process of setting up a scalable CDN.

  • Supplies a clear understanding of the framework and individual layers of design, including caching and load balancing
  • Describes the terminology, tactics, and potential problems when implementing a CDN
  • Examines cost-effective ways to load balance web service layers
  • Explains how application servers connect to databases and how systems will scale as volume increases
  • Illustrates the impact of video on data storage and delivery, as well as the need for data compression
  • Covers Flash and the emerging HTML5 standard for video

Highlighting the advantages and disadvantages associated with these types of networks, the book explains how to use the networks within the Internet operated by various ISPs as mechanisms for effectively delivering Web server based information. It emphasizes a best-of-breed approach to building your network to allow for an effective CDN to be built on practically any budget. To help you get started, this vendor-neutral reference explains how to code Web pages to optimize the delivery of various types of media. It also includes examples of successful approaches, from outsourcing to do it yourself.

Pay-Per-Click Advertising Made Simple – How To Get Non-Stop Traffic To Your Web Site! The Ultimate Beginner’s Guide!

PPC stands for Pay-Per-Click – a popular advertising technique on the Internet. Found on websites, advertising networks, and especially on search engines, PPC advertising involves sponsored links that are typically in the form of text ads. These are usually placed close to search results, where an advertiser pays a particular amount to visitors who click on these links or banners and land on the advertiser’s web page.

In essence, PPC advertising is all about bidding for the top or leading position on search engine results and listings. Advertisers do this by buying or bidding on keyword phrases that are relevant to their products or services – the higher the bid, the higher the spot on the search results, the more the people will find the ad (and click on it) to go to their websites (this is why some people call it “keyword auctioning”). Advertisers would then pay the bidding price every time a visitor clicks through the website.

This ebook will show you everything you need to know about this topic.

How do I print to a Konica 7145 copier with network printing?

Hi, we recently got a Konica 7145 copier that has network printing capabilities and supports IPP. We have a small P2P network. I have tried repeatedly to get it to print over the network without success.

I can ping the copier’s IP just fine. I am able to access the web utility so I know that I can connect to the copier via TCP/IP. IPP is enabled. Any ideas are appreciated!
Richard, I downloaded both PCL and PostScript drivers from the Konica/Minolta website. I have tried both drivers on mulitple workstations. I have tried printing using both LPR and sending raw data via TCP ports 9100, 5500, and 10001. I have tried printing to the spooler and directly. Everything has failed so far.
UPDATE: I just added a second network printer to the network and had no problems setting it up. The other printer is a Brother MFC-8460N. The Konica still does nothing. If I press the “printer” button on the Konica copier, on the LCD screen it says “Ready to Print” and underneath it says “Network Initializing.” Thanks everyone!

Answer by Richard H
Are the drivers installed on the computer you are trying to print from? Do you see the printer in the print dialog box when you select that option? If not, the printer’s driver’s probably need to be installed on each workstation (client). Once you have the drivers installed, you should be able to see the printer in the print dialog box, and select to print to it.

How do I get rid of the network password box for Microsoft networking?comes up before I can get to the desktop

This is some kind of security box I created about two months ago by accident. I don’t need this box. The system thinks I am on a server network. I would like the desktop to come up after my Windows millinum(ME) logo ends. This is the way it was before I made the changes. I was trying to find out information about my monthly billing from microsoft and I changed some password and set this box up by mistake. I have to hit enter or key in the password to get past this box. This just makes it longer of me to get on the system. Thanks for your help. I really need it.

right click network places and set it to windows logon and restart
