network monitoring?

as the administrator of a wireless SOHO (small office home office), is it possible for me to actually monitor the people who are using it to access the internet. i know they have been able to download tools in order to delete any trace of the internet history.
so all i wanna know is, can i see (as the administrator) all the internet pages they have visited while on my network?

No once it is deleted you can bring it back..you can search for some pictures that get deleted.

Which wireless router is the best for controlling network bandwidth?

I have a office with 7 computers connected wirelessly trough my router and I notice that from time to time the internet is really slow. I kow that someone is downloading something large, so that person hogs all the bandwidth. My question is: is there a wirelless router that has a function that can limit the amount of bandwidth each computer in my network can have?? If so, can you please specify the name?? I been searching on the web, but had no luck. Nothing expensive like cisco, someting for under 0 dollars. Thanks.

How do I fix my wireless network card?

My wireless card started disconnecting on me and I have to click “repair my connection” 500 billion times it seems like to get it reconnected. The wireless card is definately unstable. I have tried getting an update for my wireless card but my card seems up-to-date. I have also tried running virus and spyware programs to try and solve the problem and it had not found anything that would stop it from working. I even resorted to restoring a previous save point in XP that I knew that my wireless card was working properly.

I am lost if there is anyone out there that has either experienced the same problem and found solutions or someone who knows their wireless network cards , I am all ears.

1. you erase or delete a document/s that has a big memory..like a games and players in your computer..
2. you check your computer if it has a virus..

Network Security?

I am a network administrator. Recently, a number of local companies have been hacked, some from the Internet and some by physical break-ins. I need to address these possibilities for my company. It is hard to control passwords so I would make user names cryptic. I do that at home on my linux machines. I counted about 6000 ssh attempts in the first couple of days after setting it up.

Do not allow root access from out side. This way they need to crack a user account first. Disallow login to accounts like mysql and any other default accounts. Some people move ports too.

How to install network adaptors on Windows XP?

I recently completely reset my windows XP, and want to establish and internet connection. Since it was restored, it no longer has any network adaptors (i know it has the hardware, but it seems not the software? its been able to connect through this router before) How do i install these? If it helps, I have the Windows XP Professional disk here with me, and the computer is already set-up for internet usage. Its connected using an ethernet cable to my modem (of which the internet is working) thank you!

To get more bandwidth, the only thing you can do is switch ISP or upgrade to a faster package with your current ISP.
