It’s the principle that says that broadband and Internet service providers should treat all Internet traffic the same, regardless of its source. On one side of the debate are Google, Yahoo, and the major Internet giants that seek to prevent ISPs from controlling the web

3rd gen iPod touch gets torn down, 802.11n and possible camera slot found

There’s no denying that Apple let the entire world (yes, even the native Easter Islanders) down by not shoving a camera of some sort into its iPod touch , but if a delicate teardown completed by the screwdriver-wielding fiends over at iFixit is any indication, a seasoned modder could certainly add one. A 6- x 6- x 3-millimeter space was spotted between a Broadcom chip and the wireless antenna, which is reportedly not enough room for an iPhone-esque sensor, but just enough space for the vide

As iPhone users bemoan carrier, AT&T fights to improve its image

While the iPhone is often heralded as the “savior” of smartphones, reception of its marriage with U.S. wireless carrier AT&T has been decidedly less positive. As customers’ complaints with the network have increased, AT&T, of late, has begun to fight back.

Bluetooth cable fail.

I’m not sure if anyone has caught this one yet, but today I was trying to tether my iphone with my laptop (now that I have an unlimited data plan).  It was more to test it, since I did see the tether option on the phone again, where it was previously missing (and now it’s gone again). Not exactly sure how I would go about plugging in a Bluetooth cable, since it’s wireless and they don’t exist.

Best iPhone cellular plan… ever?

Filed under: iPhone , Jailbreak/pwnage I like to joke that “Iowa is a great place to live, but I wouldn’t want to visit.” Residents often complain that there’s nothing to do (other than milk cows and shuck corn ).

FCC Takes On Apple And AT&T Over Google Voice Rejection

My, how the tables have turned. Earlier this week, we learned that Apple had suddenly begun to pull third party iPhone applications for Google Voice, citing the unconvincing rationale that they “duplicated” some of the iPhone’s functionality. We then broke the news that Apple had also rejected Google’s own official Google Voice application six weeks prior, sparking a din of complaints from developers and users alike over the arbitrary and possibly anti-competitive restrictions being impose
